Description
Join award-winning Haitian-born filmmaker Raoul Peck as he examines the abject failure of humanitarian efforts in his home country following the destruction wrought by the 2010 earthquake, a tragedy that killed 250,000 Haitians and displaced 1.2 million more. In the immediate aftermath of this disaster, billions of dollars were pledged by the international community toward the rebuilding effort, but one needn't look far in 2013 Haiti to see people still living in tents surrounded by debris, dealing with the aftershocks of failed aid that have contradictorily proven to be more catastrophic than the initial event.
